About us

Who we are

Our primary concern is the well-being of marginalized populations, including Indigenous Peoples, Dalits, and Minorities, with a specific focus on women and children.

In 1983, a group of educated young men and women from oppressed and marginalized communities came together and establish the Tamil Nadu Tribal Development Society (TNTDS).

The society’s founding members they themselves realized the extent of the deep-rooted disparities in the existing society, identified their root causes, and felt the need to uplift their fellowmen in South India.

The Society’s primary concern is the well-being of marginalized populations, including Indigenous Peoples, Dalits, and Minorities, with a specific focus on women and children. It is committed providing essential aid, imparting valuable skills, and creating opportunities to facilitate their integration into the broader development framework.

Our collaborative spirit extends to working closely with like-minded non-governmental organizations (NGOs), government agencies, dedicated individuals, and others who share our vision and commitment to improving the lives of the underprivileged. Together, we strive to address the multifaceted challenges faced by these communities and inspiring  “All in for Development: Development for All”.
